I mentioned this in passing once before (in one of the food-fight threads I believe) - I will be spending 80-90% of my time in D.C. area this fall, through early January. I'm headed to N.C. this weekend for a wedding, back home to KC next weekend to wash clothes, pet my cats, etc. But I will be here Oct 23 - Nov 2. A friend at work mentioned an eagle sanctuary "20 miles south of here" (where "here" = Crystal City).
Any interest in a get-together for beer, photography, or both? Weeknight or weekend? My transportation is limited (I haven't gotten a rental car as I am staying 2 blocks from the office) but could work something out. I'll also be in town over the Veterans' Day weekend, but my wife will also be here and is more interested in museums than in the applied art and science of photography. Go figure.
