Hi John,

Thanks for the encouraging comments.  In answer to your question, a
photo-essay was exactly what I was thinking as I reviewed the proofs from
this shot.  I could see that picking one single shot encapsulating the
elements of the story was going to be difficult, and I think I missed the
mark on this one from a technical point of view.  I liked Doug Franklin's
alternative idea of composing this shot -- closer in and a bit to the left,
with a wider-angle lens.  I looked at the proofs again last night, and I may
very well post perhaps three or four of the others as a short essay in the
near future.  I'll let you know where and when, and I'd invite your comments
on these when I post them.
