My father-in-law is 94 years old and going strong. But they did take 
away his driver's license a couple of years ago. (Didn't stop him from 
driving of course).
But he is still p.o.'d  As he tells it, when he got his drivers license 
for $.50 in 1926, they told him that it was good for life. And then 
70-80 years later they changed the rules on him!

Reminds me of some of what I have seen on this series of discussions.
