It would be pretty surprising to find a lens that distorted only verticals, and not horizontals! You may be referring to "keystoning" that results from tipping the camera back to include more of the top of a building and less of the foreground? That's simply due to the tilt of the film plane not parallel to the face of the building.
But the 2.8/75 does have slight noticeable barrel distortion, most easily detected on straight lines close to and parallel with the frame edge of the image; comparing the line with the edge (and our eyes are good at this!) reveals the slight curve caused by the lens. About the same as the 1.9/43mm Limited in this respect. I have not seen this distortion in the 2.8/90mm.
