Tabbed browsing does amuse me somewhat - until recently, web browsers
were the one type of Windows app that worked like a Mac app, where
each document had its own distinct window. IMO this makes it much
easier to arrange/organise/navigate between documents, especially if
you're using several apps simultaneously. It seems to me that the
Windows UI is application-based, and the Mac UI is document-based.

Now with tabs, we're sticking everything back into the one window
again. I guess it doesn't matter so much since most people seem to
maximise their apps regardless of screen size, which is something
else that I find mildly amusing.

FWIW I think tabs are a good feature if you tend to have lots of
browsers open, and I use them a lot myself despite having masses of
screen space available as it helps to keep the screen a little less
cluttered. They're even better on Windows when you have the task-bar
hidden.
