Not compared to ANY other DSLRS On the market by other companies. Pentaxs entire line is worse than Everybody elses. jco

When the newer models came out the Bottom just went further down at real cheap prices. Actually, it was their top of the line DSLR when it was introduced,. They then put a bunch of lesser cameras on the market. The istD wasn't missing anything that would cause it to be considered a bottom end camera. It didn't sell for bottom of the line pricing, BTW. The istD is still the top of the line Pentax DSLR for a variety of reasons.
