I use the Domke 803 and Tamrac Superlight 5 most when carrying more
than one lens. They're plenty tall enough, but if you read my
previous description you'll see that I set them up to hold the lenses
at the bottom and make a soft platform to load things like the camera
and other stuff on top of them. That means that 4-5 inches is the
maximum length I want my lenses to be when settled into their slots
at the bottom of the bag.

The 77 has mostly replaced my use of the FA135, which is only a
little longer with a Nikon HN-7 hood fitted compared to the FA77 with
the B+W telephoto hood fitted. They're both nice and compact, but
doubling even the DA21 with hood onto the back of them would be too
tall for my liking.

My friend in Gloucester suggested this double-rear-cap idea to me,
some other friends of his have done it, and the more I think about
how I will use it the better I like it. I had best get off to the
store and buy some caps! Thanks for your info on glueing them
together. ;-)
