I know which shop you mean, and it is pretty dismal. I'm surprised
they're still in business. Most of the other traditional camera shops
in London are pretty good. Have you tried the Japanese nearby? He has
masses of used Nikon and Canon stock, but in such good condition that
I suspect he brings it from Japan. They're very friendly too. I traded
a Contax flash for a Leica 90/2.8 with them - it was a great deal for
both of us.
