I am in the D.C. area this weekend. Have been seeing "alerts" all week on my work computer about street closings due the the Marathon. I have been muttering to myself about the rainy weather that will interfere with my planned birding expedition tomorrow. And then it finally clicked: the marathon passes a couple of blocks from my hotel. In fact, as well as I can tell from the POS map on the official site, it probably goes down the traffic ramp which is outside my nice corner office with many windows. So I'll wander over tomorrow for some street shots, if the rain lets up, or try some through-the-dirty-window shots if there is too much rain and the security folks let me in my building with all my camera gear...
