As I've mentioned before, I've done a lot of work for National Geographic on books. For these books we had our pick of photos from their archives to use. Photographers who work for them have used everything from Leica thread-mount cameras to large format. I specifically remember a number of images we looked at that had been taken with Pentax 645. I don't recall any 35mm Pentax shots. Those were from Leica and Canon primarily in the most recent years, lots of Nikon in earlier times, and a good bit from Olympus OM systems.
