Jack, Jaume, Tom C., Thanks for the comments, and for measuring the horizon, and Jaume (for holding back the ego ;-)). Harald Jack wrote: Ideal exposure. Colors enhance each other. Nice catch on the peek-a-boo sun. Jaume wrote: " River's End " by Harald Rust In this list I painfully learned that sunsets/sunrises are suspicious by default. But this one cannot be considered a cliche (at least for me) and I like the composition, ambiance, and the overall final result. Although it seems a bit tilted, doesn't it? (just to held back the photographer's ego) ;-) Tom C. wrote I see what you are perceiving but I think it's an optical illusion. Keep staring and it'll straighten out. :-)
I took a rough measure by holding a yellow sticky note to the left side and marking the horizon point then moved it to the right side. The horizon is a little hidden at both extremes of the frame but I think it's level. At first glance it may be the diagonal lines of the water channel that give a crooked feeling. In particular when I focus my attention towards the bottom left hand corner, the picture tends to look askew, but when I look at the whole frame, it does not. I think he got it right. :-) Tom C. ____________________________________________________________________________________ We have the perfect Group for you. Check out the handy changes to Yahoo!
