Hey - that's what I was doing 25 years ago :) - but not hot mounted.
I later switched to the black line being flush to the mat - I could never
cut mats, had them
cut so when there was a tiny error of size on the inside I could
compensate by making the dark line bigger
and hiding it under the mat  -

marks photos in this series are stunning, I think - no matter how they are
presented they
will survive nicely.  Sometimes jsut a matter of taste of course
