I've now used XTOL twice, and have noticed the same thing.  I can see
the bubbles in the flask before I pour it into the tank.  It almost
looks like 7-Up.  If I rap the flask down three times, like I do after
agitation with the tank, the bubbles decrease but are still there.  But
both of my films have been fine - with no evidence of uneven
development.  I've always used tap water, because my water's pretty good
here.  I wonder if distilled water would make any difference.
