I'm also looking to upgrade my Epson 3200 A dedicated film scanner, while desirable, is out of my budget. I've read good things about the V700 which has an after market anti Newton ring / scratch /dust fluid mount accessory (which comes with the V750). But it looks like a lot of extra work.to use.
