Hello John, Good luck for a better year to come!
Regards SD cards, I've been using Sandisk Ultra II (60x) 1G & 2G and Transcend 150x 2G cards for the past couple of years with no problems at all. The Transcend 150x 2G cards are much less expensive (around $40 at NewEgg.com). On the remote release, as was said you can use nearly any Pentax IR remote. I have the Pentax Remote Control F. For a wired remote, you have a choice: the Pentax model is the Cable Switch CS-205 ($35). You can also use the Canon Remote RS-60E3 ($25), which is virtually identical other than for styling and a longer cable; this switch is intended for the Canon Rebel, EOS IX, etc bodies and uses the same mini-telephone jack. The third option is to use a Canon Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3 ($135): this is a full intervalometer, allows extended timed shutter speed and extended control self-timer functions as well. This is intended for the Canon 1v, 1D and other models, you would have to change the jack as it is a non-standard type but the circuit design is pin-compatible with the above remotes. Apologies if this has been covered in a recent thread. > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
