A GB of pics in RAW for the istDS is only about 95 pics, which isn't even three rolls of 36-exp film. That's not a lot of pics for a full day of shooting. Of course, many of us have made even more exposures. A lot depends on subject(s) and situation. I've used a couple of rolls of film on just one subject while sitting and talking with them over the course of a half an hour or so. I've also gone out for a day and only made five or six exposures.
I'm not sure what you mean by your question of how I store the images. They stay on the card until I get home and then are downloaded to the computer where they are converted to DNG and edited.
