It was a case of 'they aren't actually going to fix the LX, I own enough cameras without meters and the MZ-5n is the only other body of interest they had'.
While I liked the MX, I did find it too small to handle as well as it could have. The MZ-5n doesn't have that issue, being ever so slightly bigger than the LX (Which I also own). I'd been meaning to get an MX winder, but never had the money when one became available. So far, I'm liking the MZ-5n as a MF multimode body, a short AF test indicated extremely poor AF performance, likely due to the lack of cross sensors. That's not much of an issue, I only own 1 AF film lens (the SMC-F 35-80), which I rarely use and I have little intention of adding more, preferring to save money by buying SMC-A or earlier lenses, or getting DA's for the K100D. I did try the 16-45 on the MZ-5n, it looks quite usable out to 24mm, but only time will tell about its corner performance on film. -Adam cbwaters wrote: > Interesting transaction, Adam. > I have both cameras and would NOT trade one for the other.
