I use an inverter to run my laptop when I'm on the road. My 1200 watt inverter only consumes about 3 watts over and above what it is being asked to supply. If I only had one 12 volt battery to depend on, I'd be running my truck engine when using the inverter on general principals. Anyway, Godders mentioned that a 12 volt charger was available.
