A few people told me that I'd be blown away when I finally got some colour transparencies deveoloped from the P67. Well, I shot two and a bit rolls of Velvia 50 in Sydney on Sunday night, Monday morning and....WOW!
Under the 8X magnifying loupe I bought, the detail, sharpness and colour are simply stunning. I rated the film at iso 40 and shot everything from fireworks to a night shot of Darling Harbour to the street scene from the 11th floor hotel balcony and the results really do blow away anything I could acheive with Velvia 50 and the 35mm LX. I'm planning to get some of the frames scanned at lowish res next week so I can post them on the web. I will link to them when they're ready. I can't wait to get a 45mm lens for this camera...so far all I have is the 75mm f4.5 which is SHARP! I may have lost the LX wink, but I've definitely gained the 67 grin from ear to ear. I didn't even mind carrying my lowerpro computrekker back back around Syndey full of istDL, P67, lenses and filters and the tripod. People may have looked at me funny and my wife my have rolled her eyes, but the results are SO worth it.
