Hey Guys, For those of you who know I do this.... I'm venting a little and promoting some too.
The vertical calendar cafepress introduced of my "brains 25 cents " and other photos stuff was a bust ... so I quickly took the vertical pics and put them in the classic wall calendar format... I think it will work... the link to my store is here http://www.cafepress.com/annsanstuff cafepress is a great way to get calendars done if they are classic landscape pics and best in color. The black and white stuff tends to be a bit warm for my taste, but this year's spiral binding is better and it is nice not to print the stuff myself. problems with the vertical format is that, unlike the old sierra club and Audobon format, the photo and the calendar part is on one page. the hole for hanging is at the bottom... so I thought they were saving pages by having January on one side and Feb on the other, etc.. but no, they have one side done only. the image area isn't portrait format, either, it is square. when you hang up the calendar you either have to mess with the spiral binding or have this enormous white area above the photo... stupid. anyway, "Son of Sign Language" - in effect is there and looks ok but I'm going to order one myself to make sure. cafepress does color wonderfully well, the Ashley, the cat calendar does look great I'm dragging my feet on an On the Road calendar. sigh. and what little creative energy I have is going into practical stuff right now - I haven't shot anything just for me for a while - well, nothing I'd show anyone else anyway. I did two slogan designs which I mention here for those of you who might chuckle but won't go to my store :) "90° f is the new 70° f " and "... not my first rodeo" The second one might be recondite to half the list, but you can probably get the sense of it anyway. The december Pug is likely not to have anything from me -- "fire" being something I'm not fond of. (I go the other way as fast as I can if I see a fire truck) though there are shots of aftermaths in my stock. I'm starting to get the holiday blues - could we ahe another pun thread please? ann -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
