I've followed all of this discussion for some time now. One person thinks Pentax should implement a feature to make it easy to use old lenses with full compatibility. That would make sense if Pentax was in the business of selling used lenses. Since they are in the business of selling new lenses, planned obsolescence of features used on old lenses is a very sound business decision. This insures that they will continue to sell new lenses, at least until enough time has passed to obsolete them all with something newer.
