Phooey! "Note: To trigger the Sigma EF-500 DG Super from a two- contact hot shoe adapter, it must be set to C0 SL mode (that is the normal slave mode). It will not fire at all in manual mode without a full E-TTL connection to the camera body. The Sigma can't be set to FP (high speed sync) or second curtain sync in C0 SL mode."
