Thanks Paul I expected some kind of strong stripes across the picture. I had that once when copying PSD files to a somehow faulty USB harddisk. I have no clue how that happened but most of the Photoshop files had stripes after the copy from hd to usb hd:-( greetings Markus

It's a shot of the inside of the lens cap at ISO 1600. Four second exposure at f4. Then the exposure is cranked up four stops in the conversion software, and the brightness is turned all the way up. It's meant to show that you can create banding if you try hard enough. It is in no way an indictment of the camera, which doesn't exhibit any banding under any of the conditions I've encountered. Here's the nonsense. It will be deleted tomorrow. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5254769&size=lg On Nov 25, 2006, at 10:59 PM, Markus Maurer wrote: > Hi Paul > could you show me an example of "banding"? > greetings > Markus > > -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- > Von: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Auftrag > von > Paul Stenquist > Gesendet: Sonntag, 26.
