Exactly. The relatively modest sales of the *istD in no way suggest that this will be true of the K10D. Current sales, on the other hand, indicate that the K10D is in great demand. My camera store owner told me he wished there was some way he could get more of them. He's never said that about a Pentax camera. As you say, history is meaningless.
