I do a bit of snorkeling and scuba diving, and in the past, I have rented a Nikonos or used a cheap film underwater camera.
I couldn't find a casing to fit my Optio S, so I bought a relatively inexpensive Sealife digital, similar to this one: http://www.sealife-cameras.com/ It doesn't take great photographs, but it is fine for my purpose, which is to simply record what I saw. Here are a few snapshots from my latest trip to Maui: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5261548 http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5261735 http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=668619 On 11/21/06, William Robb <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi; > I have a friend (I pay her well) who is into scuba diving, and wants to > do some underwater digital photography. > She thinks she would like to use a DSLR in a housing, I am wondering if > there isn't a decent digital UW camera out there. > I have no idea what depths she would be go to, I expect far enough that > good flash power would be nice. > Any information, anecdotal or otherwise would be appreciated. > Thanks > > William Robb > > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
