My K10D turns on the Shake Reduction screen when I mount an A or K lens. I haven't tried an M. I've found it to be less noisy at 1600 than the *istD (which is probably the same as the DS), however the exposure parameters are somewhat different. The K10D seems to like dead-on exposures in multi-segment mode, while the *istD liked a half stop of plus exposure comp. But i'm still experimenting. NIght photography is not a major concern for me, so I'm obviously not sensitive to your problems. I did shoot some holiday lights on my house the other night, and I was happy with the result, but I doubt that it would satisfy you. That's by no means a criticism. Much more recognition of your expertise in this area.
In any case, here's my night holiday lighting pic. It's with the K10D and the DA 12-24, ISO 200, f11 for 10 seconds. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5266877&size=lg Paul -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Ralf R.
