That's opposite of what I was told.  I've twice, around when the MZ-S
came out, been told that Tokina and Tamron both licensed the interface
from Pentax while Sigma didn't, by way of explaining why Sigma had far
more compatibility problems.  Granted, we were speaking specifically of
lenses rather than flashes.
