Jens,

You are right, it is off-topic. However with an event like this, with
several of 'us' so close by, with something so terrifying horrible, it is
not surprisingly people want and need to share this emotion. I believe this
list is one way for people to vent their emotion, and in this case I don't
mind at all. I guess we all feel 'connected' by our hobby in one or the
other form, the list is a sort of friends list. Please dispute all off topic
emails, since they don't belong on the list, also not with OT: marked.
However not with this topic.

Frits Wthrich

My sincere condolence with all the people who are involved, whether killed,
injured, or stay behind as friends, relatives, family. I fear for the kids
who expected to be picked up from school by the end of the day, but no one
is coming.
People from all nationalities are involved, 3 - 8 Dutch people worked there
as well. I saw an interview of an American guy who missed his plane
yesterday, and arrived this afternoon in Amsterdam from Athens, and couldn't
make it to NY anymore. He works in the WTC, and was supposed to be back
today. He is stranded in Amsterdam for the time.
