A third building collapsed after a fire started. I think that is important,
the buildings in the USA are likely build with a steel frame. Steel loses
it's strength at 700-800 degrees centigrade. So the floors where the fire
was collapsed, and probably the forces during collapsing were to big for the
rest beneath. It took more then an hour before the collapse, so it wasn't
from the direct impact I would think. You could clearly see the collapsing
started at the floors where the fire was.
