To all those who wanted photos, I do have a digicam but it's a crappy
640x480 one... speed or quality, pick one ;)

It's an '06 Specialized Enduro, if you hadn't guessed from the
filenames (I think all the pedallers here are roadies).

My brother-in-law is a cycle mechanic and knew that I'd been thinking
about buying a new bike, but I was undecided as to what kind of bike
I was after (I had my eye on an Epic, which is something I'm still
interested in). One of his colleagues was wanting to sell one of his
bikes so he offered it to me.

Being a bike mechanic, the previous owner is able to get parts at
cost price so he'd made a few decent upgrades, and I know the bike
has been well looked after (it's only a few months old anyway).
Considering the spec I got a pretty good deal, and now I get some
good karma at the bike shop.

I took it for a test ride last week before buying it... it's a lot
easier to get up the hill than I expected, and coming back down is
quite an experience compared to my other bike (an oldish hardtail
which weighs about the same as this thing).

The good news is that the weather has cleared so I should be hitting
the hills tomorrow morning! My thumb is still sore from my crash a
few weeks back, but I won't let that get in the way.

(:D
