>Jaume, consider this. Suppose you have a certain style of shooting
that does not change much over time. Suppose further that you have a
certain maximal size of print that you ever decide to produce. Now,
suppose that you have a camera (even digital one) that satisfies both
your shooting style and produces excellent prints of your maximal size
and of course all smaller sizes. Why then would you want to buy a new
camera?

Well, this reminds me at the PC example. My oncle worked during 13 years with a
intel 286 prcessor PC. From 1986 to 1999. The PC was still working
perfectly...but there was this Y2K issue. So he changed the computer for a
Pentium in order to run almost exactly the same program.

But now it comes the comparision. A process that could take one or even several
minutes in the 286, is now instantly completed in the Pentium. And with this
one there is a MS Word, Excel...(instead of WordStar) and I can design and
print for him some sort of paper formularies that he used to have printed
outside.

So, going back to your example...I'll be fine until I compare to the newest
offering. Not that the good pictures suddently become worst, it is just that I
would have the feeling that they could be (even) better.

Regards,
Jaume
(BTW, the 1986 printer is still running...a Ritemann, but now we are having
serious trouble in order to find cartridges...if someone knows a good online
source for this kind of ols stuff...)
