Hi Jack I have no children but will try to make some night shots of Santa Clause today in evening here when he meets the children at the school. I will use the Pentax M50mm 1.2 on a manual Pentax and the A85 1.8 and ISO 400 film on a monopod for some close-ups of Santa's face. I tried that last year too and at f1.8 with 1/15 and 1/30 second managed to get one nice shot of his face lightened only by one candle (out of several blurred). greetings Markus
