Tech Pan can be a bear to work with. The nature of the film base makes
it tougher to get onto a steel reel and easier to scratch. Results in
Technidol developer are astounding, but Technidol is comparitively
dangerous, so you probably don't want to use it too often. I recall,
from the packaging: "MAY CAUSE TESTICULAR DYSFUNCTION".
I've also had good (but contrasty) results in Agfa's Rodinal, and have
interesting results pushing the heck out of it. The negatives become
incredibly contrasty, but if you're shooting under flat conditions, you
can get "good" results at 400 and even 800 ISO, provided you're not
looking for a lot of tonal range.
