The only point I draw from this is that different cameras produce 
different exposures. I'd be surprised if they didn't. I suppose if you 
take images of the same subject with the two different cameras this 
might be of some
interest.

Well, if you choose not to discern something about the comparative noise 
characteristics of Sony's 6 mp and 10 mp sensors, that is up to you.

Even taking into account the exposure problem, the images reveal to me 
something about the noise characteristics of Pentax's implementation of 
the 10 mp sensor.

Thibouille looked at the images and learned something.
