Hello Mark,

The X-Drive was never known for speed.  Have you considered just
getting the case only of the Hyperdrive (CompactDrive) and putting
your HD from the X-Drive in it?  Not overly expensive and may save you
from having to buy too many extra cards.  www.hyperdrive.com - just a
thought.
