Something I noted while working as a lab drone at Wal-Mart was how often people would bring in cards that would fail to read on any of the half dozen computers that we had in the lab. In every instance, the person went slack faced when asked if the card had been formatted in camera prior to use. It was mentioned onlist here at some point that in camera formatting was important, and my time dealing with demanding idiot customers seemed to confirm this need, in an anecdotal sort of fashion.
