Hi Dan
just when I asked myself what happened to that map I see your message.
It's indeed nice to see where all the members come from. I still wonder if
there are any more lurkers ore rare posters out there from Switzerland?
I think that www.fotocommunity.de is very popular among Germans, maybe
that's why we are in a minority here.

Dan, I did enjoy the meeting with you and your wife a lot. We saw an
exhibition at the Kunsthaus in Zurich with figures of Giacometti, photos of
Henry Cartier Bresson and a very interesting and somehow stylish photo
section of real American Police photographs. Later we had a fine Swiss
Cheese Fondue and white wine in the Swiss French restaurant "Dezalee" in the
old city part of Zurich the Niederdorf.

I can recommend PDML meetings therefore and If any of you come to the German
part of Switzerland ...
greetings
Markus

For those new to the list, and for those who may have forgotten, we
hape a Frappr! map for the PDML, located here:

http://www.frappr.com/pdml/map

You can place your name and location (and a photo if you wish) on the
map. That helps us know where folks are located. Then, if a list
memeber is travelling to s particular area, or just wants to ask a
question of someone from a particular city or country, that member can
look at the map and see whom he or she might want to contact.

There doesn't seem to be any real privacy isssues, as generally you
only located yourself by city or town, and you don't have to put any
more information into your "shout out" then you think necessary. Give
it a try.

I met up with Markus in Zurich, Thibouille in Brussels, and Jostein in
Oslo, all because of this list. In each case, it made my trip to
those countries far more meaningful and enjoyable. This is a great
group, full of knowledgable and helpful people, and locating ourselves
on a map is just one aide to knowing more about each other.
