If it was part of the things saved with the USER menu, 
you could quickly switch between the 'Nomal' and 'Hi-speed'
lines just by turning the program dial from 'P' to 'User'

So no need to go into any menu at that point.
The USER menu is a collection of presets ...

I agree going into the custom menu is not that bad, 
but several steps more than just using the dial :-)
