I think the problem here is the lack of expression in the written word.
Reading the posts it is impossible to tell what is arguement and what is
spirited discussion. I have seen similar problems on the internet where
tongue in cheek jokes are taken as extremely offensive insults by those
who do not know the persons involved.
It is quite possible that some here have been taken aback by the
'discussions' taking place. I myself have wondered if some otherwise
friendly posters would get upset by what others are saying and whether
it would mean the loss of those posters in the future. I hope not, but
then these message boards are always reasonably fluid in terms of active
members anyway.
By all means carry as we have been, but be aware that if you are posting
to someone you dont know well - they may not see the spirit in which the
message was meant, and outsiders/newcomers may not understand.

There's no fighting here. It's just spirited discussion amongst
people with different points of view. When this all dies down those
who were arguing with one another will be on the same side of another
issue, be it politics, cameras, photography, or lawn bowling.
Now, on another list, things got so bad that at least one member was
unsubscribed by the list owner.
