I don't follow ... what's PS? Must be something Windows oriented. I  
plug in a card reader, stick in a card, and a removable drive volume  
appears on the desktop (Mac OS X). If that's not happening, however  
it's supposed to happen in Windows, I suspect you have a bad cable or  
a bad card reader, presuming that you can see the files on the card  
with the camera.

Use the camera cable *WITH THE CAMERA*. I believe the K10D's USB  
cable is non-standard to support both camera -> computer and camera -
