Main reason I want one is I enjoyed darkroom work tremendously when I had  
access to one. The forced rythm and necessary lack of interruption made it  
very relaxing to me. I can imagine it get dreary if you have done a lot of  
it, but I haven't, so it isn't...

Other reason for setting up one is that I recently accidently won a Pentax  
645 with A75/2.8, and I can't scan medium format negatives. I tried with a  
HP scanjet 3970 with white paper behind the negatives, but I don't think  
that set-up does them justice. My negative scanner certainly won't take  
medium format.

To print those wet, I just need a longer enlarging lens (or maybe not even  
that), to process them on a PC I'd need an expensive new scanner and  
printer. I rather buy the lens ;o)
