Curiouser and curiouser .. Did some print testing today. All I gotta say is that whatever magic Lightroom is doing to the data on the way to the printer works. I tried using both 'printer controls color' and selecting a profile for LR to control color, and in both cases the results were subtly better than what I got out of the same choices printing from Photoshop CS2.
Have to say that I'm liking LR more and more. There's a lot as yet to discover/understand, but overall it's proving to be very capable. And the 'basic conversion and editing in LR, more complicated stuff in Photoshop' workflow is developing too.
