This all brings to rememberance a discussion at the PMA convention in Orlando back in Feb. It all started when I asked a Tokina rep why they did not make the 12~24 zoom in the PK mount. He indicated that it would not be sold in great enough quantities because Pentax was almost bankrupt and the company would be gone by the middle of 2007. Naturally I asked Sigma and Tamron guys what they thought. All I got was a shrug of the shoulders and a thought that it was doubtful. Now that Tokina and Pentax are cooperating in the fisheye lens and probably others as well, I see the potential for lots more of the same. I also see lots of good coming from the Hoya deal as well.
