Yes, I select an autofocus point as well. I usually know where the main action will occur or where the head of the subject will be placed. I shot a bunch of pics today of Grace running in the yard with continuous autofocus and a focus point at the top of the frame with the camera in a vertical position. All of them seem to be in focus.
