I've shot a lot with continuous focus the last couple of days. None of it was ultra high speed work, but I took many shots of Grace running and lots of shots of people walking down the street, and even a few of cars driving down the street -- most of them head on. So far, it has worked very well. I would guess that with the new *D lenses, it will work extremely well. Anyway, here's a shot of a couple of girls walking down Old Woodsard in Birmingham Michigan. This is cropped to less than half of the frame (it was a vertical), and it's at 1600 ISO. Yes, there's some noise, but not a heck of a lot considering the conditions. F 6.3 @1/160th, DA 50-200 @ 200mm. ISO 1600 in Tva mode. Best of all, they're pretty girls: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5390592&size=lg
