I think part of the reason Dell has a very good deal is because they
make you wait. It's not unusual. I have a friend who frequently orders
through Dell despite not being able to know when his order will
arrive, and he is often emailed and told the delivery date has been
postponed yet again. Not just PCs, he just ordered a rebel through
them last year. If you want to spend money to get it sooner, then
anyone other than Dell would be able to serve you. For example, the
husband surprised me with a K10D at christmas. From making the
decision at thanksgiving, he was able to get the camera within two
weeks. I'm embarrassed to say he just went online and got it at the
first place that told him that they had it, instead of buying through
a place I trust, but I think it just goes to show you that you don't
need to wait if you don't want to. It cost him around $919-ish? with
free shipping.
