And that's an effective 750mm w/crop factor. Even though it's bright, it's against a bright background, which means the tail dissipates into the relatively high key background quite quickly.
Also problemmatic, at bet observing conditions, it's low in the sky. There's a lot mor atmosphere and haze to shoot through then, as opposed to Hale-Bopp which which was quite high in the spring mid evening sky.
