As I mentioned in another post, I'm hoping for shots along this line:

That's twice as fast as the 100kph you mention, with a shutter speed
four times as long.  But I'd like to do even better - one of the other
photographers I know could add another factor of four to the duration,
blurring the background into just one long streak.  I hope that the
K10D will smooth out the panning somewhat, and help to keep the fine
detail on the car (and on the driver's helmet) nice and sharp.
