I was in the neighborhood of Keeble & Shuchat Photography today so I stopped in. Mistake. I noticed that they had one of the Pentax FA28/2.8 AL lenses on the shelf. I've been tempted to buy one for over a year. B&H has had that lens on backorder for months: I don't know whether they'll ever get any more in. Pentax has no plans to make the DA28/2 Limited that I want, to the best of any rumor I've heard and some friends supposedly in the know. I want a 28mm prime. So I bought the FA28. Managed to get it for what B&H are listing it at, $220.
It was the last one they had. I noticed that they had a few other Pentax lenses that are hard to find on the shelf ... looked like an FA20/2.8, an FA100 or FA50 Macro too.
