Although I am a PC user my IBM box shipped with Lotus SmartSuite, and
while Lotus Word Pro can open .doc files the graphics content doesn't
always load successfully. So I downloaded "MS Word Viewer" from the
Microsoft
download site. I don't know if a Mac OS version is available but it may
be worth a look.
